Foundation School - KG to Grade II (Age 3 – 8 years)

Early childhood care and education (ECCE), as defined by UNESCO, is the “holistic development of a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.” The years from birth to age 8 are viewed as a critical period for developing the foundations for thinking, behaving, and emotional well-being. During these years children develop linguistic, cognitive, social, emotional, and regulatory skills that predict their functioning in many domains later.

For the early learners, NPS has created a planned curriculum framework, encompassing developmentally appropriate knowledge and skills with the aim of developing 21st Century Skills in early learners and helping them prepare for success in school and life. The curriculum of the Foundation School will focus on the activities which involve sensory involvement. It will be play-based study modules, and a feedback and inquiry-based study pattern. Apart from that, it will involve interactions that focus on the physical and emotional development of a child.
